Lee Summers, Technical Director for construction and renewable energy specialists the Alumet Group has been listed in Insider magazine’s ‘42 Under 42’ awards. The magazine is the UK’s leading regional business publication and the awards recognise 42 young entrepreneurs and business leaders under the age of 42 who are successfully navigating their business through the current tough economic climate.
The panel of judges said as Technical Director Lee had successfully worked his way to the top of the company after starting on the factory floor and has made significant and tangible difference to the businesses.
At just 30 years old Lee was recently promoted from Environmental Manager to Technical Director of Alumet’s new renewable technology division which incorporates brands such as EOS Energy, BritSol and Spitfire Wholesale. He leads a team of 22 staff and under him the business has become of the fastest growing in the sector. Lee has recently overseen the company’s diversification which now includes a wider range of renewable technologies such as solar PV, solar thermal, air & ground source heat pumps and bio-mass boilers, as well as energy assessments.
