Here is a collection of activities that are planned in and around Leamington Spa over the weeks leading up to Christmas 2011. There are many more events listed on thebestofLeamington's Events page, so please check out that listing for more, recently added, events. But here are a few that are already announced (let me know if you want your event adding in the Blog and on the site):-

You can find a great Christmas Market a short train ride away.

The Birmingham German (Frankfurt) Market This happens every year and runs from Thursday 17th November until Friday 23rd December 2011. The market is the largest of its kind outside of Germany & Austria! There are around 180 stalls with some great handmade gifts on sale. You can also get into the spirit and enjoy mulled wine, German beer, German grilled sausages, pastries and cakes! Nearest stations are Snowshill and Birmingham New St.

 

26th November:  Save the Children Christmas Gift & Craft Fair
Leamington Town Hall, The Parade Leamington Town Hall,CV32 4AT



3rd December: Woodside Christmas Bazaar, Spinney Hill, Warwick
Come & find a seasonal bargain. Gifts, books, jewellery, refreshments & much more. Free entry.

10th December Christmas Concert - St Peters Wellesbourne:

Wide selection of carols and songsChoral music for Christmas to include 'Magnificat' by John Rutter


10th December 12noon - 3pm:  Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum:
Victorian Christmas
A day of family fun inspired by the Victorians.
Take part in a variety of crafts activities like making cinnamon bunches, popcorn tinsel and cards.
Meet Santa and listen to carol singers.
Free, drop in and join in.
Suitable for the whole family.

Sunday 11th December: Leamington Santa Dash - THE MYTON HOSPICES
This fun run will take place at Warwickshire Exhibition Centre at 10am.
6km run which people can also walk plus a 100m children's dash.
Registration is £10 per person for adults (13 years and over)to include a Santa Suit.
Children enter free and are encouraged to come in their favourite festive outfit, there will be a prize for the best costume.


18th December 10am-5pm:  Yuletide Fayre & Leamington Farmers' Market Organised by Warwick District Council:
This ever popular series of markets compliment the wide range of shops which Leamington has to offer and brings over 100 stalls into the town with craft and gift ideas for Christmas.

Including the Leamington Farmer's Market, offering speciality produce and seasonal fruit and vegetables, all produced within 30 miles of Leamington.


We have lots of local traders who have special deals for Christmas:

Check out Hill Top Farm, Hunningham – for their Christmas Trees.
If you're looking for your Christmas Turkey and other local meat produce then there is lots of choice from the best local suppliers around  Leamington Spa, Hill Top Farm, Hunningham on The Fosse Way and Becks Butchers in Kenilworth.
For those special Delicatessen products, you'll find lots of very special and interesting delicacies at Country Bumpkins on Warwick Street Leamington Spa.
For that special gift for your loved one for Christmas, Peter Stephan Jewellers are now open 7 days a week in the run up to Christmas and are certain to have a sparkling gift to enchant on Christmas morning.
