Alumet 'Blessed' by Brian's Mighty Presence!

In keeping with tradition, Warwickshire based construction & renewable energy specialists Alumet have announced that their special guest at this year's 20th anniversary charity Eco-Day will be none other than legendary star of stage and screen, Brian Blessed. Famous for his stage performances in productions ranging from Shakespeare's Henry V and Hamlet to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as well as television & movie credits including Blackadder, Robin Hood, Star Wars and Flash Gordon (Gordon's Alive!)  On top of this, Brian has a huge passion for exploration, having climbed numerous mountains including Mount Everest and breaking the record for the oldest man to reach the Magnetic North Pole. To take things event further he has recently completed training in Moscow for an expedition into space! 
 
Alumet Director Dean Walton is really excited about the securing of the legendary actors services "We are very honoured to have Brian on board. He is instantly recognisable and brings with him a rich history and charismatic presence (not to mention his booming voice!) which is certain to captivate and entertain our guests" Previous year's guests at Alumet's annual open day have included TV Botanist David Bellamy, Inventor Trevor Baylis and HRH The Duke of Kent!
 
The open day will take place at Alumet's Southam headquarters on Friday 6th July between 11am and 2.30pm. Several key-note speakers have been booked for the event which will mark Alumet's 20 years of trading and will feature a great selection of activities including a 'farmers' style market showcasing products and services from local companies, a hog-roast, charity tombola, raffle, book stall and cake stalls, all raising money for Make A Wish Foundation UK. 
 
Visitors will also be able to tour Alumet's facilities, meet their staff and view the company's full product range including their EOS Energy range of renewable technologies, Skygardens' living green cladding system, a new electric vehicle charging point and their Living Eco-lab which showcases a range of energy saving products.The day will also include the official unveiling of the new Schuco ERC 50 Renovation Facade which is currently being retro-fitted to Alumet's main office building.
