Good. Pleasant. Quite noisy and afternoon tea served in pottery, rather than china and paper napkins, but food was delicious and good attention to allergy details. Cake selection beautiful. Would have liked a cake fork as only provided with knife.

My fellow diners raved about their choices so I'm loath to be critical but...my baked potato appeared to have been cooked in a microwave; no crispy skin - I couldn't cut it, it was so rubbery. I asked if I could have Christmas pud as a dessert when I hadn't had the Christmas meal: this was a small rectangle of 'fruit cake' & a small jug of custard - no whisky sauce or brandy butter! We go here every Christmas so I now know what not to choose! This meal ( baked potato with prawn mayonnaise, pudding as above & small glass of merlot - £18+
