Lovely old pub, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was small but had everything we needed, very clean, nicely decorated and with a good powerful shower. A good varied menu, food was plentiful and well presented, the pub was really busy with very friendly locals. Breakfast was great.

Really nice little pub in Maidwell, good attwntive host and staff, it was surprisingly quiet which was good as we had the littluns with us.
I opted for the chef curry for a main and it was delicious, came with a naan, prawn crackers and rice, there was plenty of food. My daughter had hand made chicken goujons which were huge (i got to finish one) and my partner had the beef and ale pie, she was a touch disapointed at just having peas and would have prefered mixed veg. For desert was the lemon slice which was tangy and fresh. Overall a great experience and will definitely return. Clean inside, plenty of parking. Great place.

One of the most friendliest village pubs around. Robert and his team always welcomes us with open arms. I hold 2 or 3 meetings here a year with up to 16 people and it is never a problem. Keep doing what you keep doing.

This was our second visit but this time the standard of service and food had dropped massively. Our sharing starter had to go back as it wasn’t cooked properly ( this was after waiting 45 minutes despite there only being three tables ordering!) We waited another twenty minutes- the waitress almost launched the replacement at the table - 5 minutes later then brought more bread which was supposed to be warm but wasn’t . When the main course arrived - it was large and well cooked but the waitress seemed to behave as if we were an inconvenience. Sad to say but I will not be returning !
