After rave reviews from friends decided to see what it was like. They were right, drinks and food really good. Went for the Churchill, which consisted of sarnies, pork pie, Yorkshire pudding with pigs in blankets, scone, cream, jam, crisps and silver skin onions.

Had a great time here, really atmospheric place with lovely attentive staff. Proper pot of loose leaf tea with milk in a bottle like we used to get at school, coke in a proper glass bottle, and delicious full English breakfast. Hidden gem.

Lovely little unspoiled place. Serves real tea in a pot, a rarity these days and has a wide variety of drinks and snacks as well as breakfast and brunch selections. The proprietor and staff are courteous and friendly. The tables are old looking but the place is very clean. Streets ahead of modern places with their plastic cups and lukewarm drinks. I highly recommend it as a place for a quick drink and snack.

Menu on website.....prices out of date. Service charge added. Very expensive for what it is. You're paying for the decor.

We were looking for a food break in Kettering and stumbled across this lovely cafe. The music, decor and food were really nice and so was staff. Would highly recommend having afternoon tea there!

It used to be very good, but I am afraid not at the moment. The service wasn't that good. The waitress turned the tea timer before the tea bags were in the tea pot, she didn't ask whether we knew about the timer etc. And the menu is not any more what it used to be, the food neither as it used to be. - we were very disappointed.
