We chose this hotel for a get away break in the first week of July for six nights and this was our first ever visit to the island. On arrival our request for a room on an upper floor had not been met. We paid for a superior room and on being shown to our room we were very disappointed to say the least. (Room was very small). I returned to reception to request another room which after some searching we were offered the Langtry room. To be fair it was slightly better but probably one of the few rooms in the hotel that had not yet been refurbished.

I think in all fairness to the hotel we made the wrong choice. A colleague of mine uses it for business and had recommended it, although he failed to mention that some rooms in the hotel were next to the main road and were noisy. Likewise I checked on Trip Advisor for reviews, but for the first time ever I have to disagree with the overall ratings. We like a room with space to relax in an evening, probably with a balcony and wrongly thought based on the rooms displayed on the hotel's website that we would get one of those being a superior room.

We did not dine in the restaurant but had breakfast each morning which had a reasonable choice. Only comment was the supplement if you wanted some items on the menu.

Throughout our stay all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and overall we enjoyed our stay, but left feeling a little deflated because we chose the wrong hotel for us.
We used this hotel as a base for a girls weekend in Jersey. When we booked the rooms the hotel was very accomodating at allowing four of us to share the "penthouse" by adding extra beds. Single and double rooms could be obtained cheaper than through expedia etc. than via the hotel direct. Early booking is necesary as when an extra person wanted to join the trip last minute, there were no free rooms.

We ate in the hotel on the first night, great food. The breakfast was also done well, but don't start early on a weekend.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, providing guidance to the area and assistance within the hotel. We had a couple of little niggles which they managed to iron out for us. The hotel had a Wii room which was a good idea, but it did not work well. The hotel is a little noisey at night, I think this had a lot to do with us needing the windows open as it was very humid and they don't have aircon.

Overall we had a great stay and would use the hotel again
Have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Inn. What a fantastic find. We were travelling with our young daughter so booked one of the suites for some extra space - was definitely worth the extra money. We stayed in the Pierson suite which was spacious, tastefully furnished and lots of nice little extras - like bathrobes, i-pod docking station, fridge and a whirlpool bath.

The food was excellent - the breakfast (there was lots of it!) kept us full for most of the day and we ate in the restaurant the first night of our stay. The portions were generous and we were impressed with the quality of the ingredients and presentation of the food. No wonder so many people who aren't even staying at the hotel come and eat here. Book a table though - as it does get busy on a Friday evenings

Most importantly the staff here are great - very professional, very friendly and willing to help with every request. We asked them to come and close one of the blinds on the velux windows in the roof space which was too high for us to reach and within 5 minutes one of the staff had appeared with a ladder (and a smile) to sort it out. And on our last day, it was pouring with rain and the reception staff had lots of helpful suggestions for places we could go to keep our 2 year old entertained before heading to the airport later in the afternoon. We took them up on one of their suggestions and spent a fun 4 hours at the Fort Regent centre - would thouroughly recommend with lots of fun activities to keep little ones entertained

Just in response to a couple of the other reviews, the road outside is reasonably busy, but although we looked out over the road we didn't notice any noise and did have the windows open. That said, we live in a busy city so maybe we are just used to it and have learned to filter it out! But if you do want a quiet room, email the hotel in advance and I am certain they will do all they can to sort it out.
We stayed at the hotel for a week. The staff were fantastic as was the food so no complaints with regards that part of our stay. Unfortunately our room was located next to the very busy main road that runs in front of the hotel. The road was busy from dusk until dawn and we were unable to leave our windows open due to the noise. The room was very warm which was a problem as we were unable to open the windows whilst in the room, it was just too noisy. The walls were extremely thin, we could hear next door very clearly including their nights of romance if you know what I mean, very loud head board!! Residents also seemed intent on slamming their room doors as loud as possible which again didn't help with the noise. We were also woken on two occasions at 11pm with people knocking on our door. I would stay at the hotel again but would definitely get a room away from the main road and hope for some more courteous residents who don't feel the need to slam doors as hard as they can!.
Stayed here as a treat for our 20th Wedding anniversary and we cannot thank all the staff enough for making our special weekend such a success! From check in where we were wished happy anniversary to the card in the room and then complimentary glass of Champagne at dinner where the food was excellent. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and the service was great. The room was comfortable and had all the plugs etc in the right places for ease of use for hair drying etc.As an Operations Manager at a 4 star property in London Mayfair I was really impressed and even picked up a few tips for my own staff! WELL DONE Lynne Dunham, you should be very proud of your Team!
I have just returned from a five day stay at The Inn. The hotel is a small hotel situated about ten to fifteen minutes walk from the centre of St Helier and the seafront. It is decorated in a contemporary style which worked well for me. My room was comfortable and very clean, with a modern ensuite, TV, radio etc. There are other rooms available with additional comforts like DVD players (they also loan out DVDs) etc.

The breakfasts are very good, with choice of proper 'full English' or continental, plus a help yourself buffet. In the evening, the restaurant offers a nice range of dishes that are well presented a reasonably priced. There is also a comfortable bar area and a garden terrace. However, what made the stay for me were the friendly helpful staff. Very professional, but with a friendly smile. The only problem is that the car park is small, but they get around that one by allowing guests to double park. You simply leave your car keys at reception and staff move your car for you if someone you are blocking in wants to leave. Sounds strange but works well. There were no problems at all with this arrangement.

I strongly recommend if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in St Helier.
OUr room was on the ground floor down a corridor so narrow we had to turn our suitcases narrow side on to get them down the corridor. The room itself was fine- but overlooked an outdoor patio area which would doubtless be noisy in finer weather.
The hotel was no where near anything in particular that we could tell- and we would have preferred to have stayed somewhere much closer to the centre of St Helier- and there were hotels aplenty there. The hotel restaurant was nice but rather overpriced and a little too pleased with itself. The staff were pleasant but had no idea what to do when I asked to take advantage of the laundy service advertised in the hotel information folder. I was told I could find a laundry bag in the room (which I did) but there were no laundry lists with it. I rang reception and asked for one. I was told none were available. I said I needed one. I was told I did not need one anyway. I disputed this and said that the hotel's own information said it was essential to fill in a list keep track of items sent to the laundry. In the end, as we really needed some laundy done we wrote out a list on an odd piece of paper and made a copy. The laundry was done and all things came back to us but the whole exercise took too long and was quite unsatisfactory; anyone would think it was the first time anyone had asked for their laundry to be done!
Staff were very attentive and friendly, rooms were of a high standard decor (as good as some 4* - maybe even better) but ours was just a little on the small side but that's not a problem if your only using it as a base.
The hotel was a little bit out of the main town (10-15 min walk, 20-25 min walk to the beach) but nevertheless would stay again. You MUST eat in the restaurant the food was beautiful!! But be sure to book a table before you go as it does get very busy.
This hotel is just a few mins drive from the centre of St Helier. The car park is tiny so once parked, all guests are asked to leave their keys with reception so your car can be moved if necessary.

Our room was a standard double which was compact but had everything we needed. Great shower which was very hot!!

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were great and the bar downstairs is very popular and gets very busy in the evenings. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel restaurant during our stay as it was fully booked.

Only downside for us was the bed was a standard sized double - but all said, it's a great little hotel :-)
I have recently taken my family to this restaurant for a special meal and it was a very good choice. The staff were fantastic and the food was great and very well presented...Quick hint...try the sea bass...:D...
Very friendly and welcoming with a choice of bar or restaurant dining..... i would recommend the chicken was lovely.
I have visited the island a number of times and have previously stayed at the Atlantic, and the Club Hotel and Spa. Although these are undisputidly amazing hotels but this hotel I was quite suprised with.

When I walked into the hotel for the first time, although a little confused to where to go, I was very impressed with the decor, atmosphere, and just the overall first impression.

Once I had got to the receiption desk and was checking in the member of the team who handled the process was extremely polite and gave a very warm welcome.

We stayed in the Bergerac suite and I must say I was very suprised and the size of the room and amenities - this is not a bad thing.

The room was massive the biggest I had stayed in on the island, the bathroom was very large with double sink, spa like bath tub with shower. There was also a lcd tv with dvd player, in room safe, double wardrobe, work space area, drink making facilities along with complimentary hot chocolate and tea / coffe and biscuits.

I must say the only one thing, which definately didn't spoint the stay at all as the bar was available 24 hours to guests, is that that there was no complimentary water in the room at turn down. But as I say this was no issue at all.

Although breakfast was included in the rate we did not get to try this as unfortunately we have found a number of places that we love to visit every time we visit the island and the visit just wouldn't be the same if we didn't.

I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone looking for clean, comfortable, welcoming, and value for money. You can get some very good rates at this hotel and you get a 5 star service for the price of a 3 star hotel.
This hotel is clean, modern and well presented. Breakfast was good and the hotel offered good value for money. Staff were helpful and all in al it made for a pleasant stay.

We had no trouble with car parking but the car park is small. 11 spaces in total and not the easiest spaces to get into when the car park is full. Hire a small car!. You only need to hand your keys in if blocking someone else in, otherwise there is no need.

Finally the rooms do not seem to have much in the way of sound insulation. WE could hear the guy next door coughing and using his mobile phone regularly and on Friday evening the bar downstaits (We were on the 1st floor).

Having said this we enjoyed our stay here and would recomend it to others.
Ate at The Inn on Saturday for the first time using a Quids In offer. Staff very friendly and helpful, food more than reasonable and if there had been the option I would have rated them as 'good' for those facts alone, but Tripadvisor do not have this as one of their selection. However, I would be reluctant to dine in the restaurant again because the decor was not to my taste. We also felt that the tables were too close together, impossible for 'cosy' dining and rather loud. Having said that we would most likely try a Tennerfest there if we could eat in the bar.
We were a party of 18 who went for a long weekend to Jersey. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and everyone loved it. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It's quirky stairs and room names just add to the charm. Miguel who looked after us at the bar till the wee hours made some fantastic cocktails and invented one for us which we named the "ooooh" as that's what everyone said once they tasted it. We ate lunch there before the flight home and I would recommend eating there as it was delicious. We are now thinking of going back to Jersey and we would definitely stay at this hotel again, thank you The Inn Boutique for a fabulous stay in Jersey.
We stayed at the Inn boutique in a standard room over Easter. Despite the cold and rain we had a good weekend. The staff were freindly and helpful. The breakfast is good and we didn't eat in the hotel in the evening.
My wife and I have just returned from a weeks stay in Jersey.
While the weather was not what we hoped for, the warmth of the welcome we received from the staff at The Inn more than made up for it.
The staff have managed to strike the perfect balance between being friendly and being professional and nothing was too much bother for them.
The room was very good and spotless. Because the hotel is situated on a main road there is some traffic noise but the double glazing helps enormously.
We ate in both the restaurant and the bar on several occasions and the quality of the food was terrific in both and excellent value for money. If you are feeling particularly flush order the fish platter for two in the restaurant - its fabulous - and be guided by Miguel as to the wine to accompany it. His choice was spot on.

I would recommend The Inn to anyone except perhaps those with mobility problems as its situated a good 10/15 minute walk up a hill from the centre of town.
Stayed here for 2 nights offer the bank holiday weekend in may 2012. The check in was smooth, they had cleaned the room early and was available at 10am which was a pleasant surprise. The staff. At reception were very helpful and cordial. The rooms are smallish but have all the amenities one would need. The window didn't look out onto anything in particular but that was ok with us. The breakfast was impressive and the restaurant was busy even for dinner. The hotel is on the ring road around st helier (A9) and therefore quite convenient to drive in/out. However it does take around 15-20 min walk to get in to the town centre. Overall the hotel offers a decent value for money.
Having traveled to many locations and stayed in various standards of accommodation from B&Bs to 5star hotels, the most important ratings for me are value for money and service quality and I base any reviews I do with this in mind. In my view the Inn in Jersey excels in both of these respects.

I am not going to mention all the good points because that will take too long, except look out for Tom in the restaurant a great character!!

I will try and list a few aspects that maybe important to you, but are in no ways critisisms.

- 15 min walk into center of St Helier
- No sea views
- Compact Hotel and rooms
- Lively atmosphere at the weekend

Another measure I use to judge a hotel is their attitude and responsiveness to any requests or issues. Again this was excellent. Don't be afraid to ask!!

Although the weather was horrendous for our stay in Jersey, I really got the feeling that if the staff at the Inn could have done anything about it, they would have.

I would just like to say a big thanks to the team at the Inn from my wife and myself.
We stayed for 2 nights at the Inn. We didn't arrive until late and our luggage hadn't arrived with us! The check in was friendly and straightforward. As we didn't have our luggage we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant which was very busy but they found us a table. The bar was also busy with a great atmosphere - sadly the live music on a Friday finishes at 9 so we missed it. The food was delicious and portion sizes very generous!
Our room was very comfortable, although if we'd had much more luggage (when it finally arrived) there wouldn't have been much space. The bathroom was very clean and roomy with a lovely hot powerful shower.
We had a fabulous weekend and would return.
We ate here on a Friday, Got a nice table by the window listened to the band playing, excellent - then had dinner for two. Lovely decor and the food was served.
Very tasty food , great waiting staff and a good night alround.A recommended place to visit.
Recently experienced a very good evening at the Inn. The food was very good and flowed with a variety of flavours. The service was excellent both by the resturant manager and the hostesses that served our table. We did not actually have a booking and was initially told that the wait was 15/20 minutes but we were seated well before that time. I would definitely return to this resturant for a meal, the ribs are a must.
I stayed at the Inn for 4 nights over Easter. The welcome was warm and friendly and the checkin swift. Our room was ready and the offer was made to take our cases to the room,as they were small cases we declined.A very useful welcome pack was given on arrival. We were on the third floor but the lift only goes to the second so we had to climb the stairs to the 3rd. Not a problem but for the less able get 1st or 2nd floor. The corridor areas were a bit dated and the peach/orange vertical blinds a bit strange. the room however was a very good quality 3* room with lots of nice touches that you would expect of a 4*. We had booked a superior/delux twin room. Iwould recommend this for when passing a standard room they did look small with not much room round the bed. The superior room had a bit more space. The decor was fine. The beds were excellent and so comfortable. The room had a dvd player and a docking station for your iphone. The usual tea/coffe facilities were there as well as complimentary water ( sparking and still). The bathroom was of a high standard with slippers and robes to use. Although there was a busy road outside I was not aware of any noise. Inside the hotel was quiet as well. The bar and restaurant area was a nice design and well presented.
The continental breakfast was good with extra time at the weekend. A cooked breakfast could be ordered for a supplement. The bar area and restaurant was busy on the Friday evening. I had a bar meal which was also good. The hotel is 10min walk into town. A good base with nice touches.
This is a charming small hotel, about a mile from the centre of St Helier. The staff are all very warm and welcoming, and very helpful regarding the sights and places to visit in St Helier. I had a large room on the third floor, spotlessly clean with crisp white linen on the bed. Excellent TV channels. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is on a busy road, with a lot of traffic, but I found that closing the windows stopped all the noise.
Excellent breakfast was included in the room cost. The restaurant and bar also serve lunch and dinner in the evenings. For people with cars, ther is a small car park close to the hotel. Guests are asked to leave their car keys at the main desk
Much of what I have to say has been said before: the hotel is out from the centre of St Helier, the espetadas so good we had them both nights (beef and seafood), our room was above the beer garden, so noisy on Saturday too, but the attitude of the staff was excellent, and even a minor moan brought a positive response. We chose to stay in St Helier because we didn't hire a car and all buses emanate from St Helier, but the west of the island was much prettier and more like I had imagined and hoped Jersey would be. In summation, a nice place to stay, would have been very nice indeed in a better location - and probably much more expensive!
