This charity is amazing because it aims to help people, but never by means that would hurt animals. The charity has done extensive research in areas such as parkinson's disease and all through humane methods. What can be better, a charity that helps humans and animals.

I love the fact that supporting them reduced both animal and human suffering - you can't get better then that!

The Dr.Hadwen Trust has projects in most universities which scientifically prove non-animal methods of testing drugs and suchlike. As we are NOT animals (and many have died as a result of drugs being proven successful when tested on animals) this is very important for the future of medicine. They are a wonderful organisation and I have been a member for many years, having previously canvassed for non-animal experiments in a programme run by a humanitarian with the same views as myself. I cannot express enough how very vital the work of the Dr.Hadwen Trust is to the future of mankind

DHT is applying groundbreaking forward thinking science to solve human diseases - all without the use of animals. Each project they are involved in comes up with more answers than decades of cruel animal experiments - which makes sense because if you want to find a cure for human diseases you need to experiment on human cells - not rabbits, goats, ducks, dogs, cats etc. It's a win win situation - for people, and animals.

The Dr Hadwen Trust offers a humane and effective way forward in medical research. In a truly compassionate world the use of animals in experiments cannot be justified. The Trust has made huge progress in medical research withoutthe suffering of animals. Research bodies the world over should follow their example .

I love that the DHT care about animal welfare and that they recognize the fact that research using animals is both ethically and scientifically unsound. I also loved working for the DHT several years ago as a volunteer; even though my work was unpaid it was still the most rewarding work that I have ever done.

I'm so happy to support DHT - as, in the 21st Century we should no longer be using animals in successful medical research. Hitchin should be proud to have it's HQ

They are a fantastic organisation that striving to replace animal testing with alternate and more accurate testing methods, thus advancing medical science in the process.

I have supported the Dr Hadwen Trust since I found out about the great work it does, which is humane research for medical science. This brilliant trust has been funding many new scientific projects to replace cruel, inaccurate experiments on animals. The humane methods used instead of animal experiments include: MEG brain scanner, computer models and NORINA- the most comprehensive database of alternatives to using animals in education. I strongly oppose experiments on animals as it is not only cruel and painful for animals, but often data from animal experiments can be false and inaccurate. I will carry on supporting the Dr Hadwen Trust and hope that this wonderful work will keep expanding until eventually all animal experiments are replaced!!

The Dr Hadwen Trust is an amazing charity as it replaces animals in medical research with more human-relevant research. This means that its primary purpose is to help humans but does not inflict unnecessary pain and suffering on animals in the process. This charity is wonderful, I really do hope it wins.

wonderful charity, supporting medical advances without hurting animals. Great communicators, without bombarding supporters constantly.

They are the best way forward in medical research by replacing the use of animals to save them from pain & suffering & advance better, more human- relevant science. But they only receive donations from the public - they are not funded by the Government. We need more non-animal science like this - they do such a brilliant job.

They support non-animal research that delivers real results. Testing on animals does nothing to help humans (the success rate for extrapolating data from animal experiments and applying them to humans is 0.004%!) and at best does nothing to help humans - at worst has caused a great deal of harm. The Dr Hadwen Trust does some incredible work that makes a real difference to the lives of both animals and people alike, and deserves recognition for that.

Dr Hadwen is a forward thinking charity that works closely with leading medical professionals and scientists. They work tirelessly to end the suffering of animals in research and have come up with many innovative and alternative testing methods that have been adopted by the profession and animals replaced. They care that people take drugs tested to the highest safety standards and educate on the dangers of animal testing and why an Animal tested drug is not a safe one.

As a nurse, I'm all about compassion, healing and making lives better. Dr.Hadwen Trust is the only charity that enables medical research both holistically and ethically without exploiting, abusing, torturing and killing other species that have the same levels of pain and emotions as humans. They are the pioneers of how medical research should be carried out now and in the future.

The Doctor Hadwen Trust is brilliant as it not only acts as a campaigner/awareness raiser re issues affecting all of us, but it also offers real action [awarding medical grants] to pursue the replacement of animals in medical research. This organisation deserves recognition for real progress in humane research

I love this business because it strives to end all animal testing in the name of medical research and has made vast strides forward in find cures without any animal suffering.

It is the UK's leading non-animal medical research charity. It funds and promotes non-animal techniques and procedures. The tests they do include tissue engineering and microbiology. They do these experiments for many diseases including cancer, brain disorders and asthma.I love this charity because I hate the thought of animals being experimented on

Fantastic leading non animal medical research charity who I can trust with my donations.

The work they do saves animals as well as humans. Animals do not produce the same results as humans would, therefore animal experiments cause pointless suffering in the fight against human illness.

A great charity raising awareness and supporting humane research for the benefit of people and animals. This a unique and pioneering organisation and Hitchin should be very proud to be the home of it's Headquarters.

Animal testing is both cruel and unnecessary, especially now there are so many alternatives. The Dr Hadwen Trust works tirelessly to promote and raise funds for the replacement of animal experiments and is led by scientists in various medical fields who agree that animal experimentation is not acceptable. DHT highlights the research and development carried out using alternative methods of testing and proves it is possible - it is certainly more ethical. Even "normal" science has proven that animals do react the same way as humans under the same experimental conditions, so even on a logical basis there is no place for vivisection in today's world. Long may the work of DHT continue, and to help enable this I became a life member many years ago.

It's animal friendly by refusing to subscribe to animal use in research. However it promotes research into human illnesses based on non animal methods. They have persevered with this ethical approach despite the recent increase in animal experimentation and pressure from big companies.
Excitingly their approach has yielded very positive outcomes and is now becoming accepted more widely within university research departments.
How brilliant is that .research tailored to helping humans yet without cruelty and suffering to animals.
That's why they are the best.

I agree with their policy that the best way forward in medical research is to replace the use of animals to save them from pain and suffering and advance better, more human-relevant, science.

It is a charity that does credible work and focuses on the scientific argument for not testing on animals, rather than the emotional argument which is too easily countered by those in favour of animal testing. It is a charity that supports my own ethical viewpoints and produces real results.
