The Vicky-Anne Academy of Dance joined us on the bestofhinckley in November 2010 and it has been a pleasure to work with Vicky to promote the work of the Academy.  The Academy already has 14 testimonials from pupils and parents of the dance school and you only have to read the testimonials to see why The Vicky-Anne Academy of Dance is truly a bestof business for Hinckley

I have asked Vicky to keep me up to date with what is happening at the dance academy so that I can keep you all informed through our blog posts. The start of the New Year has been brilliant and this it what Vicky says …

Hi Geoff, here are just a few details of what some of our pupils have been up to lately as well as our future events for the Academy:.

Firstly, congratulation must go to Abigail Jones who has not only passed here Associate Freestyle teaching exam but has done it with style achieving a fantastic 94% in her examination!

We have two Vicky-Anne Academy of Dance pupils - Fern Duffy and Lydia-Kay Holton, appearing in the current pantomime production at Concordia Theatre "Mother GOOSE" at the Concordia Theatre alongside another Vicky-Anne Academy teacher Miss Dee Short (playing the Baron’s daughter).  Joanne Bevington is quoted in the Hinckley Times as saying “How lucky we are to have a theatre like this, with such talented people.”

Further success for our pupils at Concordia Theatre in February with Lily Smith, Charlotte Warren, Natasha Stay and Beth Lauder all strutting their stuff in 'Return to the Forbidden Planet'. This will be staged at the Concordia Theatre during the Half Term week and currently there are still some tickets available for some nights!

Looking ahead, on April 1st our very own Charlotte Davis will be 'Cheryl Cole' at a Charity night in aid of Breast Cancer Research. Charlotte is currently teaching at The Vicky-Anne Academy where she has danced since she was 5 years old. The tribute show 'Simply Cheryl' is her new venture and we all wish her the best of luck!! (see photograph below)

Finally, our annual Vick-Anne Academy production called ‘Time Tunnel’ will be held at The Civic Hall in Bedworth on Sunday 22nd May 2011 ........ more details to follow!! (see photograph from our previous show).
