With some fantastic events taking place at Mallory Park within the next month, it promises to be a very busy few weeks for the ‘friendly circuit’. Renowned for it’s spectator facilities, with its sloping grassy banks enabling you to see all the action, it’s a far cry from its origins as a pony-trotting track in the 1940’s. Nowadays it plays host to all manner of events, with the list becoming increasingly more diversified as it aims to broaden it’s appeal.

Take for example the ABBA Reunion Charity Concert & 70’s DISCO, on Saturday 7 August, held in association with Leicester Sound, and starring the UK’s biggest ABBA tribute band. ABBA Reunion are the creation of the director, producer and choreographer of the award winning ABBA Mania Musical, starring original members from the official London West End cast.

Following a successful run in London’s West End Strand Theatre and after a phenomenal 4 year European Tour selling out theatres, stadiums and concert halls, this award winning ABBA tribute accurately perform one of the most requested tribute shows in the world www.abbareunion.co.uk. ABBA Reunion gives ABBA fans, old and new, the opportunity to once again get together and re-live the addictive ABBA phenomena that swept the airwaves and discos during the 70’s and 80’s.

From Waterloo to Dancing Queen, all the hits are performed with unrivalled authenticity from both an audio and visual perspective. Superbly accurate vocals, guitar and keyboards combined with stunning replica costumes and excellent authentic choreography produce what promises to be a truly feel good party style concert.

With such an accomplished band, and the massive appeal of ABBA to all ages, ticket sales for this event have soared. Although having a large site, Mallory Park has limited the number of tickets that will be available, and are expecting the event to be a sell-out - so get your tickets early!

Gates open at 6pm for people to arrive early and picnic in the grounds or enjoy the thrills of the large Appleton’s family funfair. Pre-show and interval entertainment will be provided by a professional event DJ, with a 70’s themed DISCO it’s hoped partygoers will get in the mood by wearing their 70’s fancy dress.
