The highly recommended starting point for performing arts talent in Hinckley - the Hinckley Speech & Drama Studio, will be travelling back to the 1950’s at the weekend! Around 155 of their members, fans and supporters will be climbing aboard three coaches on Friday 22nd October for a much looked forward to trip to the Piccadilly Theatre in London’s West End. The reason for this mass migration from Hinckley is the opportunity to see ex-student and finalist of the Over the Rainbow talent contest, Lauren Samuels who is currently performing as ‘Sandy’ in ‘Grease’

Principal of Hinckley Speech & Drama Studio - Priscilla Morris, attended Lauren’s opening night in July but promised the students of the Speech & Drama Studio that they would have the chance to see her too. Priscilla said "We started by arranging a coach to take our students to London to see Lauren but the tickets were all snapped up in just a few weeks and so we have had to arrange even more coaches!". Priscilla was very proud to have had the opportunity to see her ex-student's opening night but has been overwhelmed by the wider support for Lauren.

There will be no rest for the Hinckley Speech & Drama Studio's students though following the show because after half term all the Saturday Speech & Drama Classes will be back to rehearsals for their own Christmas productions on 11th December - young stars in the making.
