Greene King Get Together
16th March 2009
... Comments

We had yet another successful local networking event on the 4th March 09 at the Greene King Stadium (formally the Marston's Stadium), with 60 representatives from local businesses attending the event. A measure of success here being the desire to do it all over again in three months time because our end of event evaluation indicated 100% of those forms returned saying YES let's do it again in about three months time!

In addition to this overwhelming YES vote for this type of local business networking event, the general comments on the returned evaluations were also very positive and supportive with "Worthwhile and really enjoyable", "Thought it was very useful and constructive" and "Extremely productive and I would appreciate an opportunity to be included again", as just some examples.

These events are open to all Hinckley and Bosworth Borough businesses and diversity is of course key to the principles and aims of the events. At this second event the range of attendees went from the well-established and well-known Hinckley & Rugby Building Society to new starts such as DEMand Results Ltd. The attendees at the events also enjoyed musical entertainment during the evening provided by Neville Cooper, a classical guitarist from the Hinckley based business Guitar Magic and a free back massage, for those feeling the stress and strain of a busy day, provided by Essentials Beauty and Health Clinic, Hinckley. At this particular event we also enjoyed the company of the Mayor and Mayoress of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough - Jeff and Trish Bannister and BBC Radio Leicester's Dave Andrews, representing APPLAUSE.

The next event for The Local Network is currently being planned for mid June/early July, date to be confirmed. If local businesses would like more information or to attend then they should contact me on Hinckley@thebestof.co.uk
