Had a great night out at the Axe & Compass near Wolvey last Saturday night. Six of us in the group, the bar area of the restaurant was so full that Bob had to sit us in the restaurant area at the back. Haven't been in that area of the restaurant for quite some time and had forgotten just what a nice dinning room it is.
We all had great meals and as ever, it was really good value. I had the liver and bacon once again with the delicious red wine gravy - excellent! The others all had a variety of dishes but it was noticeable that all the plates went back empty. Well done Bob and the team, keep up the good work.
