“In August 2008 Marc Hogan was bet £1 that he couldn’t become a stand up comic in less than 12 months and perform a one man comedy show at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in August 2009 for 21 nights. He won the bet!” and this was the premise for Marc Hogan’s presentation at the Hinckley Business Association (HBA) dinner/seminar last Tuesday evening at Sketchley Grange Hotel.

The HBA meets quarterly and at every dinner there are a number of local speakers on relevant business matters but always, to end the evening, there is a professional after-dinner speaker. For the July dinner it was Marc Hogan (www.marchoganlive.com). Marc’s professional experience is in sales and marketing, which he uses along with his adventure at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, to deliver valuable messages on just how to improve communication within business.

The evening at the HBA absolutely flew by as Marc told his tale in a most engaging way. Looking round the room as he spoke, I noticed that all the attending members and guest were locked onto his every word. The laughter from the group indicating his ability to capture an audience but he also demonstrated his ability to cleverly build-in subtle but clear and valuable business messages.

If you ever have a need for a business speaker for an event then I can highly recommend Marc Hogan. Your audience will have an enjoyable time but go away with some very important messages on communication. I did and I have been applying them this week with some notable successes.
