Had a really pleasant evening on Friday at the Elm Lea Hotel, which is now under the management of a lovely and energetic young couple Richard and Jamie. The evening was a special invitation for wine and canapés to introduce themselves to the local community. The Mayor attended the evening along with members of the Hinckley Chamber of Trade and local business owners who all appeared to enjoy the very warm welcome and also the tour of the hotel facilities.
The hotel has quite a place in the local history of Hinckley and the building is incredible. Richard and Jamie, in between bringing up two lovely children, are determined to grow the business as a local hotel offering a friendly welcome and quality service but they also to extend its use in the community for family and social functions. They also have plans to extend the use of their restaurant and have made a great start on this with a fully booked Christmas Day dinner!
