<p>A reliable source tells me that the Council is about to announce that there will be<strong> FREE parking</strong> in three of our long stay car parks in Hinckley for four weekends over the Christmas period.  I understand from my source that the three<a title="Car Parking Information" href="http://www.thebestof.co.uk/local/hinckley/business-guide/feature/car-parking-hinckley-town-centre/61200" target="_blank"> <strong><span style="COLOR: #ff6600">car parks will be Brunel Road (South), Mount Road and Trinity Lane (West)</span></strong></a> and the first Saturday will be the 28th November 2009 and then each Saturday up until the 19th December 2009, inclusive.</p> <p>This is <strong>great news for shoppers</strong> and an encouragement to get into town and support our town centre.  Certainly, it’s a good move in light of the Council’s decision to withdraw the Christmas period park-and-ride service that it provided last year, which it is reported ran with little success and at high cost.</p> <p>A further bonus on car parking is that I also understand that there will be FREE parking in ALL the town centre car parks over the period 27th and 28th December 09 and 1st January 2010!</p> <p><strong>Watch out for the official notice and then get shopping</strong> in Hinckley town centre.
