At the 4th Hinckley CAMRA Beer Festival you will get the opportunity to savour over 60 real ales, 20 ciders and perries plus, fruit wines. At least half of the ales will be brewed within 20 miles of our area. One of our founder members Steve Colbourne died recently and a special beer 'Dear Boy' has been named in his memory, his partner Ann will pull the first pint.
The event will be opened at 5pm on the 15th by Matt Hampson the ex-Tigers player. Matt was an emerging talent who's world was rocked by a serious spinal injury while training with England under 21s. Paralysed from the neck down he faced the toughest challenge of his life and formed the Matt Hampson Foundation. The aim is to inspire and support young people seriously injured through sport. He now devotes his life to raising funds for those people.
This year the venue for beer festival will be the Atkins Building, Lower Bond Street, Hinckley and will open from 5pm until 11pm on Thursday 15th and from midday until 11pm on Friday 16th & Saturday 17th.
