Lovely venue, brilliant location from the station. Medium sized womens bathroom which seemed to cater well to the sold out show I was seeing. Did not try and purchase anything when I was there so cannot comment.
Seats reasonably comfortable.

Me and my family book up the tickets in May half term to see the this year panto sleeping beauty as Honey G was going to be in it.
We wanted to try and get Honey G autograph.
On the actual day me and my family was trying to find out where the Stage doors are.
The show was good I have to say, the lady who was playing Beauty had amazing voice, also me and my cousin got a shout out which we didn't expect.
When the show finish me and my family went round to the stage doors, there was also a group of American people who come all the way from the US to see Honey G.
A member of staff come out and said I'm sorry to tell you all but I think she gone, the Americans people was very annoyed as they traveled a long way.
We went outside and it was raining so we wait and wait there was another girl who saw the show last night and try to get Honey G autograph but she didn't come out.
Someone who was working back stage come out so my cousin went to ask her if Honey G is sill there the back stage worker said She gone my cousin said are you really telling me truth because he have come all this way to see her, she said I think so.
A group of dances come out my cousin ask them is Honey G still there, one said I think she gone and the other one said I think she is still in her dressing room.
So we was told a lie, so my cousin went in to the backstage door to tell them that we have just been told a lie Honey G is still here.
My cousin had a wold with Honey G saying there are 2 people out there who really want to see you they have come all this way just to see you.
My cousin come running out to me saying she still here so me and this other girl and got to see Honey G in the end.

We came to see a ballet which was a treat for my birthday. The show itself was very good, except there was no orchestra, just music played over the speakers which was a bit of a let down. But my main gripe is the seating. Unless you are a smaller that average person with very short legs the seating is totally inadequate. I am 5'`10 and had booked an aisle seat luckily for me because I literally could not get into my seat! I had to sit with one leg out in the aisle and at an angle just to fit in. And then to make things worse a taller than me person sat in front of me and kept pushing his seat back into my legs and also he completely blocked my view of the stage. Not his fault I know, but the gap between the seat in front is ridiculously small. Much less than in other theatres. After the interval I ended up standing at the back of the theatre with a few other people (including the man in front of me!) who had the same problem just so that we could see the rest of the ballet as standing was more comfortable than sitting at an angle. This is a big shame because it did spoil an evening I had been looking forward to. I know I am tall and have fairly long legs but I am not a giant! And I was certainly not alone in this problem because others were also standing at the back with me. I cant complain about the show itself because the dancers were very good and it was a good show.

We went to see the 60's show last night and decided to go for dinner before hand. The menu was same as last time we went there, but the staff were lovely, first 2 courses were lovely, but the desert was a rip off, I ordered the Eton mess without the fruit, expecting meringue and cream, I got a bowl full of cream and about a tea spoon worth of meringue bits. awful. but staff were good and could clearly see there was no meringue in it as I put the cream on a separate plate.
The staff made up for this though as they are so friendly polite and cheery. the show we good too, not being before I didnt know what to expect but the show blew me away.

Visiting Hastings for my partners birthday thought we’d take in a show at the White Rock Theatre and we’re so please we did. We saw One Night Of Queen with Gary Mullen and The Works. What a show it was - action packed and authentic from start to finish with very good acoustics and lighting. Wasn’t sure where to sit but we chose the raised stalls and they had fantastic visibility. Overall a great show hosted in a very good theatre. If you visit Hastings go watch a show here you won’t be disappointed!

Taking a look at some of the reviews for the White Rock Theatre, it's clear some reviewers choose to review the show rather than the venue.

Like 'edward r' I visited the White Rock Theatre for 'Purple Rain - A Celebration of Prince'. They are as brilliant as I've seen them at other venues over the years.

As for the White Rock Theatre itself, it has a modern looking exterior, but when you walk inside you realise that it's actually quite an old venue. For that, it's actually charming.

At the interval we didn't have to wait too long for drinks which was a welcome change to many venues.

The seats are very comfortable and spacious too, not that we needed them as Purple Rain kept us on our feet!

As a result of booking to see Purple Rain direct with the White Rock Theatre, I am now on their mailing list and would certainly return to this venue to see other events.

The white rock staff are nice and very helpful. The bar can get busy so arrive early and pre-book your interval drinks, and make sure you pick up your drinks promptly because they are kept on the side with a name to your drink so if the staff member isn't organizing these pre booked drinks anyone could take them.

Never been to the White Rock despite living in the town for 40 yrs.We went to see the Derren Brown show and had circle seats which were great, the seats are a bit small but the theatre is quite intimate making the whole show better as you feel part of it.The toilets are ok but could do with an update and more of them, the queues can be quite big before and during the shows.
I'd definitely go again and I'm looking for the next show to see.You can park in the underground car park near Debenhams which has a set of steps coming out along the seafront nearer the White Rock.

Been to this theater many times but mainly to watch my daughter dance on the stage.
Its a lovely theater to come to with very friendly staff and very helpful.
Came here to watch A Celebration of Prince which was a great tribute show to this very talented singer. All the band members gave a professional spectacular show which was very funky, and had everybody young and old on their feet dancing away.
Had a beer at the bar which was £4.50 and im sure in the future i will be here again.

All I can say is this show was outstanding so professional from start to finish
The down fall the annoying family behind us that kept pulling my daughters hair and kicking the seats and screaming and the mother telling it to be quiet

My wife and me went to the White Rock to see " The Elvis Years". We had a pleasant meal in their restaurant and the show was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our night. Would recommend this theatre to anyone who likes a down to earth & reasonably priced evening. Thank you to everyone at The White Rock

My friend and I went to see Hot Chocolate which were really good. We booked the pre show food in thier restaurant and were very disappointed. Our food was not hot and we only ordered scampi and chips. We then had to ask the waitress If she would clear our table and could we order our dessert, the show was starting imminently. The staff seemed to be stood around looking busy. Great opportunity being missed here.

Booked Russell Kane for our anniversary and as time was short for a weekday evening, decided to book our meal at the White Rock Bistro.
We arrived early, but were shown straight to our reserved table. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The menu is limited, but we both found something we liked (2 veggie options for my wife). All cooked well and tasty and reasonable priced. Puddings are rather expensive for what you get, but again very nice.
The show was brilliant. We had front row seats in the Circle which gives very little leg room and my knees were a little sore by the end.
Overall, a great night out...

So a great performance recently in this great local theatre. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, from the box office to the cafe the whole evening went brilliantly.
I've visited so many times now and never had a bad experience.

We booked to see Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat on Valentines day. The ticket prices were very reasonable and the view in the stalls was excellent.
The staff were very friendly and the show was out of this world. Fantastic evening and we'll definitely book the White Rock again.

The theatre experience wasn't bad on the whole. The staff were helpful and the seats in the circle good, although could do with a little more leg room. Have sat in worse though. The food experience however in the Bistro wasn't great and we won't be going back. We'd booked a table for 6pm, leaving an hour and a half before the performance. It was already busy when we arrived and service took a little while to get going. We'd both ordered the scampi but were sorely disappointed. It honestly looked like a child's portion. Six measly bits of battered crustacean accompanied by more crockery on the plate than in the kitchen...a ramekin for the tartare sauce, a ramekin for the teaspoon serving of peas and a ceramic pot with a few chips in. Certainly not worth £8.50. We had wanted dessert but due to the slow service there wasn't time and no one bothered to ask us if we wanted anything else when they took our plates away. Other tables around us were experiencing slow service too, seemed to be a recurring theme sadly. The young serving girls looked harassed and rushed off their feet and when I went to pay at the desk, one had a rather unprofessional mini meltdown with her colleague, exchanging somewhat annoyed sounding banter. I wished we'd booked elsewhere to be honest. Thankfully the show we saw made up for our disappointment.

Went to the White Rock Theatre last night to see the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Tickets were booked on line, very easily, when we collected them on the night the staff were very helpful and pleasant taking time to explain where everything wrong. A small venue and it felt very crowded the auditorium is compact and feels intimate, seats not very comfortable. The sound was very good and the show excellent.
Being a Sunday parking adjacent to the theatre was free after 6.00 pm.
