About Elaine
Elaine is an experienced and consummate practitioner who has been working on herself and others for over 25 years. Combining her compassion and intuition with her corporate experience she has the rare ability to show humility whilst being robust enough to hold clients through very tough challenges both personally and in business.
Based in Battle near Hastings in East Sussex, Elaine will support you through your journey to greater confidence by enabling you to make important life changes. Elaine is extensively trained to be able to provide her expertise. She initially studied Counselling with Bach Flower Remedies at the Bach Centre in Oxfordshire, followed by a Post Graduate course in Psychotherapy at Spectrum Therapy Centre in North London, in addition gaining a professional kinesiology qualification from the International Kinesiology College.
Elaine’s Calling
Like many people, Elaine found herself living in that treadmill world where you know you need to change, but making the change seems too big a step to take – so you just keep going. The fundamental fact was that she was unhappy. Elaine says: “Everything in my body was shouting ‘This doesn’t feel good, I’m not happy’ but the implications of what I would need to do to change were too huge to contemplate.”
Elaine found that her biggest breakthrough came when she realised that she wasn’t being true to herself, authentic. She found herself in a situation where she was doing what others wanted, sometimes against her best judgement. Over time she had lost herself in a world of who and how other people wanted her to be.
How Does It Work?
Elaine will see you in her rooms at The Old Court House in Battle, near Hastings, for an initial discovery session to help establish exactly what you’re aiming to achieve. She will then work with you through your own individual needs to reach your goal, using whatever combination of strategies she feels will work best for you.
Kinesiology
Kinesiology is the science of movement, the study of the mechanics and anatomy of human muscles.
Stress can have a significant effect on the movement of human muscles, placing your body of out alignment. Kinesiology works by determining stress to the body via the subtle energy system - meridians, chakras and auras. By looking at how your physiology is functioning you can more successfully balance the energy system against the stress. It is a holistic treatment that looks at your subtle muscle response to provide information about the balance of your subtle energy system.
Treatment involves the use of meridian energy, acupressure, flower essences and hands on work to balance subtle energy.
Counselling & Bach Flower Remedies
When we find ourselves out of balance in mind or body, the Bach Flower Remedies can help bring us back into balance.
Elaine will run a session that involves talking through where you are now and where you would like to be. She will then bring this information together, using her extensive knowledge and counselling skills to determine the unique combination of remedies for you at that time.
The remedies are then mixed with mineral water and placed in a 30 ml bottle. To take the remedies you simply put four drops straight into your mouth or you can put them in any drink – hot or cold.
