Bishops Park

Bishops Park tops our list for brilliant fireworks in the borough.  This year they’re on Friday 5th November. Gates open at 6.00pm. They have a children’s' show starting at 7.15pm and the main show kicks off around 8pm. Entrance is £6.00 on the door or £4 in advance (they haven’t got the site up yet but it will be on www.lbhf.gov.uk soon I’m told.  The events team can help if you need to know more on 0845 337 0314

Around 7,500 people go to Bishops Park to see the display so don’t leave it until the last minute.

Ravenscourt Park

According to the Evening Standard they will be lighting over £1 million of fireworks in Ravenscourt Park on Saturday the 6th of November (but all of the other details were wrong in their article so maybe they made that up as well).  Either way it’s a spectacular show attended last year by over 10,000 people. As with Bishops Park, gates open at 6.00pm. They have a children’s' show starting at 7.15pm and the main show kicks off around 8pm. Entrance is £6.00 on the door or £4 in advance, for more info – although not yet - www.lbhf.gov.uk.  Again, the events team can help if you need to know more on 0845 337 0314

Wimbledon Park

Out of the borough, the Wimbledon Park fireworks display takes place on Friday 5th November 2010. Gates open at 5.15pm. The first bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, followed by a children’s fireworks display at 6.45pm. The second bonfire will be lit at 8.15pm, followed by a second fireworks display at 8.30pm. There’s a fairground and side stalls as well. Nearest tube: Wimbledon Park.  www.merton.gov.uk

Tickets are available on the gate and cost £7.00 for adults, £5.00 for under 16’s, and £20.00 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children U 18). If you’re under 4 then don’t miss it because it’s free.

Battersea Park

The Battersea Park fireworks display takes place on Saturday 6th November 2010 with the bonfire lit at 7.30pm and fireworks due to start at 8pm.

They have a food court open from 6pm serving international BBQ and Mexican food amongst lots of others.   They have a bar serving mulled wine and beer as well as soft drinks.  Get you Battersea!

Admission is £6.00 with a £1.00 charge for kids under 10 years old. Advance tickets are available from booths within Battersea Park from Monday 1st November. Nearest train: Battersea Park or Queenstown. Nearest Tube: Pimlico.

Ealing Cricket Club

Saturday 6th November. The Ealing Cricket Club fireworks display takes place. They love a theme and this year will be a sort of Guy-Fawkes-meets-the-RAF thing celebrating 405 years since the gunpowder plot threatened the Palace of Westminster from below and 70 years since the Luftwaffe did roughly the same thing from above. The display will accompanied by stirring 633 squadron style music (watch out for drunks doing the dambusters face mask thing).  Flying helmets on for gates opening at 6pm and fireworks starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5.00 for adults, and £3.00 for accompanied kids under 14. Nearest tube: Ealing Broadway.

Have fun and stand well back.
