Calling all businesses in the Askew Road area.

Regular readers will remember I went to a meeting of the Askew Business Network a few months ago and was impressed by the way founders Charlotte Cottle and Annie Pennington had pulled together to benefit all local businesses and the local community.

Well, time has moved on and now they are holding their first networking event - open to anyone who has a business - large or small - in the area of Askew Road.
Details are ; Tuesday 16th November. 6pm to 9pm at the Greyhound pub, 49 Becklow Road, W12 9ER.  £5 on the door and that includes a glass of wine.
They will be distributing flyers in the area from tomorrow and more infomation is available on their website www.askewbusiness.co.uk

In my 'ever so'umble opinion it's a great example of people taking responsibility for their own prosperity whilst also caring about the other people in the area and the community they live in - practical applied Big Society all helping to define what the phrase means and the benefits it can bring.  There are moves from other areas in the borough for similar projects and I hope it's something H&FBC get behind and support.

If you're doing business in the area get in touch with them to see if you qualify to go along.

Have fun.
