This was our third visit this year and Siya remembered us each time from our previous visits and always welcomed us back with the same friendly service. The food is great and the hotel is well appointed. We have enjoyed a lunch, breakfast, spa day, and high tea this year and we can recommend them all. Thank you for the excellent service, Siya!

An elegant hotel with exceptional staff. From the moment we arrived we felt looked after. I would like to specifically mention Byron and Alessandro in the restaurant. Super efficient , friendly and exceptionally welcoming. These two stood out as being passionate about what they do. I hope they are still there when I return. Overall a fabulous hotel with fabulous staff, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you OGH ….. you have got it right.

First class hotel, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were excellent, especially in the restaurant, Alessandra & Byron were outstanding and the food was 5 star. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back.

We came for indian night, expecting a taste sensation and knowing the hotel is 5 star our expectations were probably too high. The positioning of our table by the room thermostat. Without asking the waitress leaned over meaning i had to lean forward over the table so she could turn down the heating. This should never have happened. Our food sadly not the taste sensation we expected. The starters were dry and semi warm. The main seemed a bit bland. we didn’t finish any of our courses. The waiter offered us someone else’s meal and i feel if you want an Indian meal theres another restaurant on the island which can give a better service and taste. Sorry i so wanted this to be amazing

We have stayed at the hotel several times over the years, the last previous time being only a few months ago. This is an elegant hotel, well-furnished and comfortable. Our room was very good indeed and excellently equipped. A couple of maintenance issues had to be addressed but these were not serious. We had a view over the outdoor swimming pool and although the loungers around the pool had cushions laid on them and towels laid out, the pool area could not be used and there seemed to be an air of secrecy as to why this was, throughout our stay. Breakfasts have always been a high spot, but this time, there were a lot more customers and the staff, some clearly under trained, created long delays; some staff were seemingly brought in from the sister hotel which was not yet open for the season. On one occasion, a young man traipsed us around the dining room trying to find a table which was properly laid, and we ended up at his fourth choice" where we had no cups and saucers, butter or marmalades and we struggled to get these omissions rectified plus we were in a long queue for hot food to arrive; we were conscious too of other guests commenting about their perceptions. Also, the hotel has introduced this year a service charge of ÂŁ10 per day, which we told was voluntary, and we also had a 12.5% service charge added to the bill for dinner on the only night when we ate in the hotel in the evening. We have travelled the world and not come across voluntary service charges added to hotel accounts in this way.
