We spent four nights here with friends on a Travelzoo deal. Everything about the hotel, rooms, food and service were excellent. But above all it was the staff that made our stay so enjoyable. Everyone, without exception, was friendly, helpful and thoroughly professional.

We booked an overnight to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and were treated like royalty from the moment we checked in. Being greeted with a glass of fizz, given an upgrade to a sea view queen room and offered the Curry Room menu when it was closed for the evening. I had the most amazing massage in the Spa. Nothing was too much trouble - 24 hours of luxurious relaxation - thank you 🙏

The entrance isn't impressive, but the hotel public areas certainly are. You get a really warm and friendly greeting in reception. Menu isn't extensive but the food is exceptional and the waiting staff, especially Nicolas, are exceptional. They really can't do enough for you, so friendly and polite.
Rooms are tired and need a refit, don't expect a 32ins TV and only an overbath shower in a 5 star, but all towels & bedlinen are monogrammed and towels are soft. Did have difficulty getting a good nights sleep as no support in duck down pillows, wasn't until morning that noticed they have a very extensive pillow menu - unfortunately we were only on the island for 1 night...

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were given a warm and caring welcome.
We wish to extend our thanks to all the staff at the hotel but especially Tom and Stuart from reception who went over and beyond in ensuring our stay was memorable. Their knowledge about the history of the hotel was incredibly interesting and informative .
The rooms are very comfortable and the views from the room was breath taking .
The breakfast each morning was beautifully presented with many interesting options to choose from. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and most professional ensuring a wonderful experience.
We had afternoon tea during our visit which was beautifully presented and substantial, providing a great choice.
The evening meal provided an excellent choice and again was most enjoyable .
We are so looking forward to a return visit .

To find a hotel of this comfort, quality and standard is rare indeed. We enjoyed our 3 night stay so much because every member of the team were so courteous, kind and professional. The ambiance was calm, peaceful and relaxing, the service spot on and always with a smile. Every meal was a complete delight. The food quite beautifully presented, hot, fresh, varied and very flavoursome. Each meal was paced to perfection. The lounges, bars and gardens were elegant, beautifully furnished in a traditional way with every modern convenience. The spa, gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzis were immaculate, efficiently run with massages to die for!
General manager Andrew and his deputy Govind really set the tone with kindness, professionalism and attention to detail. They have a wonderful team and must take credit for the training and attitude of their team.
Red Carnation group and founder Beatrice can be hugely proud of such a strong and well run enterprise. Look after them all - they are such an asset to your group and many in the hospitality sector would dearly love to have a set up like yours. We'll done everybody and thank you for all you did for us. We feel refreshed and relaxed.....and are missing the OGH already!

The stay at the hotel was faultless, nothing was to much trouble. The staff go out off their way to make sure you have a great experience and make you feel at home, friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless with well furnished rooms, a full choice of breakfast selection. And we must praise Govind Prathap for all his help.

Alessandro in the restaurant is exceptional! We were very lucky to have him look after us for our Coronation day lunch and the other staff were also so attentive! we had the most amazing lunch and lovely cocktails. We will be back! Thank you so much for making our day so memorable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A nice afternoon learning how to make cocktails in the cocktail masterclass hosted by Malcolm, who was fun, knowledgeable and a great host! Our cocktails were carefully selected to match our tastes and were served with light bites and nibbles.

Good service from friendly staff. Lovely building. The room was lovely with a good sized comfortable bed & good facilities. Great service provided by staff. The dining hall so wasn't great. Chipped crockery views of plants growing out of the gutters. Needs a bit of TLC and good few repairs. Felt uncomfortable and rushed.
