This walking event will take participants around the Le Val de Terres, George Road, Havelet circuit. Each lap is 1.6KM long and 77M elevation, with a total of 115 laps, which is the equivalent total height of Mount Everest (8848M) upon completion.
The challenge is set to run for 30 days, commencing on 11th May.
A Strava page will be available for all participants to keep track of their progress, as well as a Facebook page to see the team’s progress, organise teaming up times, and support each other.
This would be a perfect opportunity to get some structured training for the Rotary Walk on the 15th June which allows 1 week to taper training.
Entrants can do this in as part of a relay teams, as pairs, or with family members, dividing the overall laps between them should they wish.
We are raising funds for the Sarah Groves Foundation, which this year will be making a sizeable contribution to the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation. More information about these incredible causes can be found at the following: http://sarahgroves.org/ and www.ppbf.org.gg/
We are aiming for every participant to achieve the £115 via their Justgiving page (£1 per lap). Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and an invitation to the post-event social.
