THE WWII GERMAN OCCUPATION OF SARK
  • St Peter Port
An all-day walking tour that takes in many interesting sites and fortifications on the beautiful island of Sark that was occupied by the Germans from July 1940 until May 1945.

Walk the route of two infamous British commando raids, visit the murder scene of a German Officer, explore an area where the German Headquarters were, visit the field where an RAF Lancaster crash-landed and more.

Local guide Jan Guy will discuss the general history of Sark over lunch

Time: 7:30am - 6:45pm

Meeting point: Meet at 7:30am outside the Sark Shipping Ticket office on the White Rock, St Peter Port, Guernsey

Length of Walk: 6 miles (includes stop for lunch and refreshment breaks)
