For many centuries the festival of St Jean was traditionally celebrated in Guernsey on 21st June, as the first day of the new seaweed collecting season. This festival celebrates our seaweed heritage and will include local crafts and produce, chefs making seaweed based food, beach games for children, lots of seafood, Morris dancing and more.
