Not sure what to do with your citrus fruit skins?
Why not make a bird feeder by placing a mixture of fat and birdseed in an empty Grapefruit or Orange half and suspend the rind cup by string from a tree.
Not only are you putting good use to your waste but you're helping the birds get their all important nutrients
