As excitement ahead of GBS16 continues to gather pace, organisers have produced a varied programme of events that offers everything a business could wish for, and more, all under one roof at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse.
It will include a glittering array of speakers, over 140 exhibitors’ stands, 60 seminars and workshops focusing on a wide variety of business matters, and three specialist hubs, plus the Business Kitchen and the Business Advice Centre.
And visitors to this showpiece event – the biggest of its kind in the county – will not have to pay a penny.
Admission to GBS16 is free for visitors, though they must register beforehand, and there will be an ample amount of free parking spaces at the racecourse too.
Co-organiser Antonia Coles, from County Business Shows, said: “It doesn’t matter whether you’re representing a big, established business or you’re just starting up, there is something useful for all businesses.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to benefit from a wealth of experience packaged together across two fantastic days.
“I’d say anyone who is interested in forming new relationships and developing their business, learning and growing, and exploring the rich variety of business in the county should attend.
“Who knows what they could be missing out on if they don’t come along?
“We’d encourage everyone who is planning to come, and who hasn’t done so already, to register for GBS16 as quickly as possible.”
Co-organiser Pete Allison, from County Business Shows, said: “GBS16 is now just a fortnight away and I’m getting more excited about it by the day.
“We’ve put a lot of time and effort into making sure it’s a fantastic programme of events and we’re certain that everyone who comes along will get a huge amount out of it.”
The specialist hubs will focus on training and development, innovation and technology, and issues and problems related to cybercrime in a business-related context.
The cyber hubs will include two major incident workshops each day during which experts will take teams through real-life incidents, but places must be booked beforehand.
Speakers offering their advice and expertise include John Williamson (Santander), Neill Ricketts (Versarien), Prof Dr David Hopkins (Royal Agricultural University), Dr Peter Dirken (Innovate UK), Ian Maxted (Gloucestershire Police) and Claire Vertigen (SW Apprenticeship Company).
The sessions will provide important information vital to anyone running a business, including ‘Access To Finance – Know Your Finance Options’, ‘Brand Awareness – The New Big Player’, ‘The Future of the High Street in Gloucestershire’, ‘Dowty Propellers – Rising from the Ashes’, ‘The Future of Learning’ and ‘Cyber Risk Management’.
Tickets for four special events at GBS16 – two business breakfasts, the Gala Dinner and Punchline Business Awards, and the Investors Dinner – are selling out quickly.
