D7 Band has gone to extreme lengths to ensure that their debut album is taken seriously as an instrument of reform by the City of Gloucester.  The CD was presented to the Mayor on Friday, 27th August and dedicated to the great City of Gloucester.

A band member said: “Our desire is to make a difference in our city.  We have used the King’s Square Christmas art from last year as the album artwork along with the name King’s Square as the album title.  Our CD is made by the people and dedicated to the people of Gloucester.  Kings Square has always attracted bad press and we fully intend to turn that around.  From now on Kings Square will be the heart of the city, a national land mark and hopefully our CD will be the springboard for this reformation.”

King’s Square CDs will be on sale for the first time on 4th September outside the Guildhall before and after the Gloucester Day parade. The digital version was released in July and has already had record sales on iTunes.  Songs from the album will be performed live throughout Gloucester Day and the band will be seen marching in the Gloucester Day parade.

D7 Band your passion and enthusiasm cannot be denied. Now let’s see if the city you are so proudly representing will get behind you in your mission to bring about positive change in Kings Square and the city of Gloucester.
