Cancer Research 10k Run
8th September 2009
... Comments

We have been asked here at thebestof Gloucester to tell you about the forth coming 10k run in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Cancer Research UK are asking men and women to enter the Run 10k event and raise money to help their life-saving work.  Run 10k is a series of 43 fundraising events held across the UK this autumn where men and women come together to help beat cancer. Running 10k might sound like a challenge but anyone can do it with a little bit of training.

Everyone has a different reason for entering Run 10k, many are beginner runners trying to get fit, some take part to beat their personal best, whilst others use the event as a focus to train on whilst battling cancer or coping with losing a loved one.

Whatever the reason, everyone crosses the finish line with ah ugh sense of achievement knowing how far they have gone to help beat cancer.

This year 10k is hoping to raise £6 million and you can help us reach that target.

Your local run will be held on 20 September 2009 starting at 10am starting from Gloucester Park, Park Road, Gloucester. You will need to arrive approximately an hour before the race is due to start for your warm up.

Come and join them and do something worthwhile. For entry forms see the website below:

Venue website: www.visit-gloucestershire.co.uk/gloucester/park

All entries must be in by midnight on the 16 September 2009.
