More than a tonne of old fashioned sweets including liquorice allsorts, humbugs, pear drops, and nougat have been stolen by thieves from Kimberleys Sweets which were stored at Cropthorne near Evesham.

The  haul of sweets, valued at around£3,000 in total, were taken from a field in Field Barn Lane,  Cropthorne, at some point between 18 December 2009 and 8 January 2010.

Police said the sweet toothed thieves would have needed a large vehicle to take them away from the scene. Kimberleys Sweets are always seen at Evesham events – and at many markets and outdoor events.

Two Calor gas bottles and a caravan battery were also taken in the raid- Police are appealing for information.
