Hayden Goldbold from Evesham will soon be performng in front of more than 12,000 people on Sixways Rugby Pitch at Worcester at the end of the season .Hayden won the  “Perform on the Pitch” talent contest at Sixways this weekend.

The 16-year-old Evesham High School 6th form student is studying music, drama and geography, but said if he could make a career out of singing he would – he certainly has the talent !

We had to perform in front of four judges, which was I found nerve-racking but it was a great experience said Hayden.

The contest  was organised through St Richard’s Hospice and second place went to Mike Skilbeck, 28, from Worcester, and third was won by Ali Webb, 14, from Stockton near Great Witley.

Joanna Street, from the hospice charity said: “All of the finalists were brilliant on Saturday night, and some of them brought out goosebumps and tears from the judges.

“This event has helped raised over £800 for the Hospice and we would like to say well done to the 9 acts that didn’t win, and a special congratulations to Hayden.”
