The Epsom Playhouse is offering three Summer Schools during the holidays to entertain children and let them meet new friends, learn about theatre and perform on a professional stage.

EduStage Musical Theatre Summer School :-

Mon 30th July – Friday 3rd August

for 8 to 12 year olds will be held from Monday 30 July  to Friday 3 August with a performance on the Friday at 3pm. Designed for young people who enjoy singing, acting and dancing, EduStage is offering a five day non-residential summer school at the Epsom Playhouse for the first time. It is suitable both for children who have had no experience at working in musical theatre and those who would like to learn more.

The summer school runs from 10am to 4pm each day and a fully staged performance of an original musical, The Magician, will be given at the end of the week with costumes provided.  All participants will be assigned roles where they will be encouraged to demonstrate any individual skills they have.

Pull the Other Theatre:-

Monday 13th – Saturday 18th August

From Monday 13 to Saturday 18 August 9 to 14 year olds can join Pull the Other Theatre and help celebrate The World Shakespeare Festival 2012 with a six day drama workshop that introduces Shakespeare's great Scottish play Macbeth in a fun fuelled, highly energised, imaginative and professional environment. By teaching Physical Theatre techniques, general stage craft, an introduction into Shakespeare's language and other staging skills the company will equip everyone taking part with the skills to work together to create their very own version of the play. Pull the Other is a new young people's theatre company based in Surrey created by Surrey born actress Rachel Nussbaum and County Antrim born director Helen Broughton.

Dandelion Theatre Arts Summer Workshop:-

Monday 20th – Friday 24th August

Dandelion Theatre Arts Summer Workshop will be held from Monday 20 until Friday 24 August for 6 – 10 year olds and gives the unique opportunity to pretend, play and sing! Children will learn the story, play the parts, sing the songs and perform the dances as well as helping to make the costumes and props and then put on a show of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the end of the week to wow their family and friends.
