This summer enter the Surrey Libraries short story competition and delve in to the themes of the First World War. Write a story of up to 1,000 words exploring the Great War, the impact it had on the people who lived through it and how it changed the landscape of our World.
The first prize will be £50 worth of book vouchers and the second prize £25 of book vouchers, both entries will be available to download from Surrey Libraries webpages.
The competition is open to anyone aged 16 years and over, it will run from 1 June until 30 September 2014. You can hand in a hard copy of your story to your local library or email surrey.libraries@surreycc.gov.uk
