Walton May Pageant
Saturday May 19th
It was all excitement as Walton May Pageant chose their new May Queen - Rhianna Denny.
I visited the community centre in Walton to see the event – and there were about 60-70 people there – a hive of activity. Lots of excited young ladies and a few nervous little boys.
Last year’s May Queen Sophie Voss received a gift to remember her time by.
The queen and her attendants were picked – together with ‘Jack The Green’ and ‘The Sweep’.
So congratulations to Rhianna and we are sure she will enjoy her time as May Queen.
There was also a display of many of the children’s works for the cover of the May Pageant magazine – the winner is yet to be chosen.
The Walton May Pageant is a great day out for ALL THE FAMILY and is a very popular annual event – with a large attendance.
