Church Meadow, East of Church Street Adjacent to cemetery, Ewell, , Surrey
Volunteers are being sought for the second season of excavation in Church Meadow, Ewell.
The excavation will take place between 3rd - 21st July, Wednesday - Sunday 10am - 4pm. The site is within the Roman settlement and is traversed by Stane Street. Last year’s work uncovered Roman ditches, gullies and pits and evidence for prehistoric activity (see Bulletin No. 435, October 2012).
