Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a two vehicle collision in Dorking Road, Tadworth, at the crossroads with New Road and Mill Road.

The collision, which was reported to the police shortly after 4.20pm today (Tuesday, 2 October), involved a blue Citroen Saxo and a black Volkswagen Golf. The driver of the Saxo was taken by ambulance to St George's Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Golf did not require hospital treatment.

The road was closed for around three and a half hours whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle immediately prior to this incident is asked to call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference P12289285.
