Television presenter Laura Hamilton met children with brain injuries during a charity visit on Friday.

Ms Hamilton, 30, who came second on TV show Dancing on Ice in 2011, visited the Children’s Trust in Tadworth.

The presenter of A Place in the Sun and Fort Boyard, who lives in near-by Purley, took a tour of the site and met children who are receiving rehabilitation.

She said: "I was honoured to be invited to visit the Children's Trust. It was fantastic to see some of the work they do and meet some of the children and parents that the trust support.

"I'm very much looking forward to supporting the Children's Trust myself by taking part in fundraising events and helping to raise awareness both locally and nationally."
