Girlguiding Epsom Division are enormously grateful to Toyota GB for the generous donation of £1,800 from their Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow.

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers have been tirelessly fundraising for many years to build a lodge at their campsite in Horton Country Park. This brand new facility will benefit young people in the local area and beyond.

They have already raised enough money to build the lodge which has been constructed, and are now fundraising to pay for the utility connections, interior work and equipment. This attractive, well equipped, modern building will have kitchen facilities, disabled access, accommodation, toilets and showers available for use by Guiding and Scouting groups and the wider community.

Division Commissioner Mary Zoeller said: “We are really delighted and very grateful that Toyota GB have supported us with this fantastic donation meaning we are one step closer to the lodge being completed. So far we have raised nearly £137,500 but we still need £38,000 to complete the project. Everyone is working extremely hard to raise the last funding needed so our dream can become a reality."

Good causes across the UK have been given a helping hand by the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow, a programme of small grants designed to help local charities, schools and community projects. In the past financial year, the fund supported 74 deserving schemes, allocating more than £122,000. In all its worldwide operations, Toyota seeks to be a good neighbour, supporting its local communities and the environment, fulfilling its role as a good corporate citizen.
