Lots of hats on their way to Ascot this week...

After a very busy week I was actually able to sit down and enjoy the last day of Ascot Races.

I Have to say there are some wonderfully talented milliners out there! Makes me so proud to see all the hats on display and it's great hearing people appreciating the hard work that goes into them.... Hand blocking a hat, sewing from start to finish, then my favourite part trimming!!

Millinery definitely isn't the easiest of trades, taking years if not a life time to learn! I've been practicing the art of millinery for 6 years now and I hope to carry on for many more, I can't honestly say I love every single part of my job! Even when I do end up with blisters and feather splinters! (Yes you can get splinters from feathers!)

Re-Trimming

Remember that hat re-trim I mentioned last week... well here it is. Think it matches her outfit perfectly.
