Christ Church Song Squad based at Christ Church Epsom Common will be in The Ashley Centre on Thursday 11 December from 5pm raising money for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund.
From 5-6pm The Christ Church Revive Band will be playing a range of favourite Christmas Hits to get shoppers in the festive spirit! Anyone who makes a donation can ask the professional band to play their requested Christmas pop song or if preferred the band will accompany the person who donates as they sing!
From 6-7pm Song Squad, Christ Church’s fun children’s choir will be singing four brand new original Christmas songs plus a range of popular lively festive hits as well. Anyone who makes a donation will receive a copy of the choir’s new Christmas single “One Christmas Wish”.
From 1 December local school choirs and choral groups will be performing in The Ashley Centre to raise money for the Epsom Medical Equipment Fund. Danetree Junior, Stamford Green Junior, West Ewell Infant, Wallace Fields Junior, St Clements Junior, St Christopher’s, St Joseph’s Junior, Riverview Junior, and Shawley Community Schools plus St Mary’s Singers, St Joseph’s Church Choir and Epsom Choral Society will all be performing at some point between 1-11 December.
Epsom Medical Equipment Fund, formed in 1979 (as Epsom Endoscopy Fund, later renamed) has raised close to £4 million to purchase items for Epsom General Hospital (EGH), ranging from a £230,000 CT scanner to a £17 specially shaped pillow. Helped by a small band of volunteers, the Fund was founded, and is still run by local woman, Bess Harding, MBE.
