The way you like your tea is a very personal taste.
I myself only let it brew for a very short time – not due to the flavour in my case but simply that I don’t want to wait.
According to the connoisseur I may have got it right – more by luck than judgement.
It would seem that the UK tea industry do not all agree with him – creating the storm in a tea-cup!
But I do remember my gran who used to be very precise – 2 minutes exactly.
