The annual Epsom & Ewell Sports Awards 2014 provide a fantastic opportunity to recognise and reward talented local athletes, coaches, volunteers, teams and clubs for their outstanding achievements in sport over the past 12 months. The Awards are organised by Epsom & Ewell Sports and Leisure Council, in partnership with Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and will be held on Tuesday 7 October at Epsom Downs Racecourse who is the headline sponsor for 2014.
Each year there are 10 different awards, each individual award has been sponsored by a local organisation or business. Nominations close on Sunday 31 August 2014. You can nominate athletes, volunteers, teams and coaches for the following awards:
Better Sports Personality of the Year Award
Epsom Gymnastics & Trampoline Club Young Sports Personality of the Year
Aon Hewitt Sports Club of the Year
Active Surrey Coach of the Year
Epsom Golf Club Sports Team of the Year
AFC Ewell Young Sports Team of the Year
Epsom & Ewell Football Club Disability Sports Award
Epsom & Ewell Colts Football Club Volunteer of the Year
Surrey County Playing Fields Association Young Volunteer of the Year
The Rotary Club Outstanding Service to Sport

Councillor Jan Mason, Chairman of the Leisure Committee said, "The Epsom & Ewell Sports Awards are a chance to celebrate and recognise the Borough’s sporting achievements, dedication, commitment and excellence over the last year. With the range of awards on offer, show your appreciation and nominate someone who has achieved something incredible or made a huge difference to you and sport in general."
All local winners will automatically go through to the assessment panel for the county awards; Surrey Sports Awards 2014, providing they meet the county nomination criteria. The short-list for the county awards ceremony is announced in November, showcasing the very best of sporting talent and dedication in Surrey. They will receive an exclusive invite to the prestigious Surrey Sports Awards county ceremony organised by Active Surrey on Tuesday 2 December 2014 at Kempton Racecourse, where county winners will be announced and celebrated in style!
