Scouts from 2nd Ewell (Rainsters) Scout Group have been helping out at Ewell Grove Infant & Nursery School to transform an old pond into a raised bed as part of a vegetable garden for the children.
This was their contribution to Scout Community Week, the Scout Association’s updated version of Bob a Job Week.
Scout troop leader James Merry said: “What the children have done in helping out is a fundamental part of scouting, doing something for others. What’s even nicer about this, is most of the children involved went to Ewell Grove so they’re giving something back to their old school.”
