The Beacon School
The Beacon school pride themselves on their achievements, their academic standards and their high expectations for children to succeed. Last summer The Beacon had received their best ever GCSE and A-level results and expect them to rise again.
They also take a leading role in the development of other partnerships including the North Downs Schools’ Partnership, which aims to provide opportunities for local children across all phases of education.
The Beacon works collaboratively with other local secondary schools and is also a member of the PIXL (Partners in Excellence) group of schools, which enables us to share outstanding practice and continue to raise standards. Our partnerships also extend further afield. Achieving the International Schools’ Award in 2010,
The Beacon now has a number of well- established exchange programmes including a link with the outstanding Ganquan Foreign Language School in Shanghai.
