Carers Of Epsom
Carers of Epsom are an independent charity offering free support to Carers in Epsom, Ewell and Banstead, also managing Mid Surrey Moving & Handling advice service.
Their Carer Support Workers visit Carers in their own homes to give information and advice on rights and entitlements, including the right to a Carers Assessment, and direct them to relevant agencies. They offer advice on the filling in of forms and questionnaires, and offer to speak for and work with them in an advocacy role. They aim to see all “new” Carers within one week of first referral. We introduce Carers to appropriate support groups.
They hold various social events, coffee breaks and lunchtime meetings for Carers throughout the year and also hold regular drop-in sessions at centres in Epsom and Banstead.
