Life before KINDLE - It's called BOOKS - #Epsom Book Fair
16th February 2012

Yes I agree Kindle has it’s place:

You don’t have to find the 3 biggest books you can ready for the holiday read.

It’s only a little touch to PTO on a crowded train rather than the elbow manoeuvre.

You can download your read without having to collect it or wait for its delivery.

OK – it’s easier to wipe off that drip of ketchup from your burger.

But Books still have their place.

Snuggling down to read real paper sometimes just feels so right.

When you nod off it won’t ‘stick’ into you.

Very hard to break – worse case is usually a torn page – probably much cheaper to repair (cellotape usually works).

What will you use to prop open that door in an emergency?

Those book cases will look awfully empty.

Maybe you won’t find a 1st Edition of Harry Potter, or ‘Fly Fishing’ by J.R.Hartley, but there will be some gems there just waiting for you.

I popped in on Monday to leave my donations and saw thousands of books – and the incredible team who organise this had it all under control.

They know how to run this event – last year they raised over £25,000 for Charity.
