Most years, having family I need to post gifts to, I am usually better organised – but it’s all caught up with me this year. AND I need to start Today.
In the past I have tried some of the on-line sites – but have found they can be difficult to send gifts back to, often sizes are wrong – and when it arrives in a plastic bag at the families door – it just doesn’t seem that personal – a despatch note attached just doesn’t do it for me .
So I’m off to Epsom – and even better there’s FREE Parking on Sundays up to Christmas.
Lots of shops – lots of choice – and Santa will be at his Grotto in the Market Place.
(OK I’m probably a little old for that one – but the little ones aren’t).
I’m not the greatest gift wrapper – (2 whole sheets of paper for a small teddy bear!) – so I have to admit I may take advantage of the many local shops who do the wrapping for you – but at least you can add that personal touch with your own message.
I can have a leisurely stroll around and pop into The Ashley Centre – walk down the high street and market place – maybe a stop for coffee and cake (well it is Christmas) and get everything ready – just pop it in a box tonight and off in the post tomorrow….
