Dandelion Theatre Arts has added a new singing class and a new drama class for 14+ year olds to its course list, both taught by professional actress Jenny O’Leary who has starred in Hairspray, Les Miserables and Shrek.
Dandelion Founder Jennai Cox said: “It’s great to have signed up Jenny as our new professional teacher as she has masses of experience and enthusiasm! She trained at The Arts Educational School and has been in demand as an actress ever since she graduated so we are delighted she has decided to expand her teaching experience by joining us. Local singing and drama students are very lucky!”
Jenny has starred in Shrek The Musical (UK Tour), Les Miserables (Queens Theatre - West End), Once Upon a Mattress (The Union Theatre). Our House The Musical - 10th Anniversary (The Savoy Theatre - West End). And as the lead role of Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray The Musical (Aberystwyth Arts Centre)
For Dandelion Theatre Art’s end of Autumn term production she is teaching her students Somebody to Love by Queen, and has promised to bring in some of the prosthetics she wore while appearing in Shrek to show the students.
