When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank – helping people in times of crisis

The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the basic necessities they need to live.

Please note, we will be CLOSED on Friday 8th May as it's a Bank Holiday. We will be delivering food parcels to those who have been referred to us on Monday 4th, Tues 5th, Weds 6th and Thursday 7th May. We will then resume deliveries on Monday 11th May.
If you are one of our agencies needing to refer to us, please make sure we receive your referral by 10am on Wednesday 6th May for delivery the following day.
We are currently delivering around 100 essential food parcels per week so we anticipate being very busy.
If you are in need of an emergency food parcel, please contact your usual agency.

As always I hope that you and your loved ones continue to be well and healthy.

What can I say that I haven’t already said over the last few weeks ? We continue to be very busy and last Friday reached a new record for the number of home deliveries in one day. Thanks to our amazing packing and delivery teams we delivered to 27 homes, feeding roughly 50 people. I have no doubt we will beat that number in the very near future. This week we will have delivered to over 100 homes.

Food donations continue to come in and we have a good stock of food. However, we are short of some items and our wish list is as follows -

 This week 1st May:

Hand gel sanitizer

Men’s deodorant

Adult toothbrushes

Instant mash

Shower gel

Shampoo

Powdered milk

Tinned vegetables - not sweetcorn

Tinned meat

Sugar 500g

Washing up liquid

Washing powder/tablets/capsules

UHT fruit juice

Long life sponge puddings

You can safely drop donations at our depot car park Generation Resource Centre, behind West Ewell Primary School, Ruxley Lane KT19 0JG. We are there Monday to Friday 9am until around 2pm. (Not on Bank Holidays)

The majority of supermarkets still have collection bins which we empty on a regular basis. Alternatively food can be dropped off at our warehouse in Ruxley,Lane Ewell. We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. Please note that we will not be open on Friday 8th May which is a Bank Holiday.

You could do a collection with some neighbours/friends? We are so grateful for everyone's support.

Many thanks for your continued support
